Who we are
SYNAPSE TECHNOLOGIES Ε.Ε., Estavromenou 3, 17778 Tavros, Athens, Greece, is the controller of your personal data. For any privacy question or request, email contact@thesynapsetech.com. We have no data protection officer, as none is required.
What we process and why
- Visiting the site. Our host keeps server logs (IP address, time, page, browser) to deliver the site and keep it secure. Basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Emailing us. Your name, address and message, to reply and, if relevant, prepare a proposal. Basis: steps before a contract (art. 6(1)(b)) or our legitimate interest in answering business mail (art. 6(1)(f)).
- Booking a call. The booking buttons link to Calendly, which collects your name, email, chosen time and answers so we can hold the meeting. Basis: art. 6(1)(b), or 6(1)(f) for the meeting you asked for.
- Clients. Contract and invoicing data, to perform our agreement and meet tax and accounting law (art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
You do not have to give us any data; we only need your contact details to reply or meet. We make no automated decisions about you.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It produces aggregated, anonymous statistics, stores no cookies or identifiers on your device and does not track you across sites; Vercel processes the data for us. Basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (art. 6(1)(f)). See also our cookie notice.
Who receives it
We never sell your data. These providers process it for us under data processing agreements (art. 28 GDPR):
- Vercel Inc.: Hosting, server logs and cookieless page-view analytics (USA and global edge network).
- Calendly LLC: Scheduling the calls you book with us (USA).
- Google (Google Workspace): Our business mailbox, where your emails to us are received and stored (EU and USA).
Where needed, our accountant also receives client records. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: the short period our host keeps them.
- Analytics: aggregated statistics only, with nothing that identifies you.
- Emails and bookings: up to 24 months after our last contact.
- Client records: as long as Greek tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, restrict its use, receive it in a portable format, and object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Email contact@thesynapsetech.com; we reply within one month. You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (ΑΠΔΠΧ), www.dpa.gr.
